Drifting Supremo David Waterworth's Season Conclusion

With a strong season under his belt David headed home for the final round of The British Drift Championship at Knockhill, Scotland.

With a strong season under his belt David Waterworth headed home for the final round of The British Drift Championship at Knockhill, Scotland. Sitting in third position David was confident entering the British Drift Championship's finale, “The car has been fantastic all year, the torque of the V10 means it can run any circuit in the BDC calendar, it works at them all” said David referring to his Viper V10 power Nissan Silvia S15.

The technical, tight and high speed nature of Knockhill promised an entertaining end to a spectacular season, the circuit is renowned for being high risk, and high reward for those who leave nothing at the start line. ‘The Hill’ is reserved only for the elite drivers in the Super Professional class branded too dangerous for any lesser driver, the course descends into a blind apex followed sharply by an off-camber left and then the hairpin right.

The championship swelled at the final round with a number of competitors from the Irish Drifting Championship making the trip over to compete among the best of British. The first giant to be slain was Mark Luney, the point’s leader qualified way outside the top 16 and as a result his championship campaign was over. David was up against the elite of the British Isles in qualifying and he battle to the end, with his run made he could only sit and watch as by the smallest of margins, just two points he was pushed out of the top 16.

“I wish to say thanks to my family and friends that have helped me through the year and to the sponsors who have provided products that have helped the car to be one hundred percent reliable and hasn't let me down at any time this season” said David.

It has been a pleasure working with David this year and we already can’t wait for 2014, David also has some very cool technical updates for the car during the winter months so keep an eye on our social media Pages.
